Holiday gift ideas for Preppers

We are less than two months away from Christmas. Now that Halloween is over you will see retail outlets gearing up for that glorious season of spending and excess during which time many people will try to wear out the magnetic strip on the back of their credit card.  Live in the moment, worry about finance charges later!  After all little Johnny NEEDS that new gaming console, Susie has earned the RIGHT to have that $500 tablet and every homeowner NEEDS that new 60 inch smart TV in the basement.  Sarcasm aside while we should enjoy some of the fruits of our labor (I really do have nothing against any of the gifts listed above) there are other gift ideas which might be more practical and well received by those who choose to call themselves preppers.  We are all on different budgets so I’ll list out items in various price ranges.  Hopefully by doing this now I will give you some lead time to do more research and make a good decision on what gift(s) to buy for others. I should note that I was not in any way compensated or even asked to endorse the items which I am about to list.

It should be fun to exchange survival related gifts. I just hope I’m not the one who gets a #10 can filled with freeze dried coal!

  1. My husband and I were discussing Christmas ideas for our newly married daughter the other day. Food Storage and Survival gear is what she and her new husband are getting this year. We thought we’d start out with sleeping bags, water filters, 72 hour kits and a first aid kit. Sounds like a fun Christmas. Oh well, we don’t want to share ours.

Sounds like a great gift list, I wouldn’t mind any of those items! Glad to see you put an emphasis on water filters, one can never have too many. Thanks for the comment!
