Cold weather is here…

I have a gas furnace and a as wall heater in the basement. The furnace won’t run in a power outage but the wall heater does. In past outages I filled the tubs with hot water and boiled water on the stove. My house stayed warm when it was 9 degrees outside. I had a wood stove for 50 bucks lined up but that fell through. I’d like that as a backup.

I wish I had a wood fireplace or wood burning stove. I do have a gas furnace, transfer switch generator and backup generator to that but both run on fuel. In a long term outage I’m screwed.
