The Dangers of Facebook

Social media is a great way to tell everyone all about your life, and maybe people you don’t want knowing as well.  Think your privacy settings mean you are covered?  Think again.  Additionally what is social media even becoming?  People are way too addicted to sharing every part of their lives with all of these so called “friends.”  Not only is this simply absurd it could be seen as a huge OPSEC violation.  We are even getting to the point where NOT HAVING a Facebook account could be viewed as a potential red flag, that you might be some sort of psychopath.

Advice Columnist, Emily Yoffee, wrote in an advice column that young people shouldn’t date anyone who isn’t on Facebook. “If you’re of a certain age and you meet someone who you are about to go to bed with, and that person doesn’t have a Facebook page, you may be getting a false name. It could be some kind of red flag,” he says.

Here is a great video about the dangers of FB.  I can somewhat understand if you simply must have FB to promote your business, but otherwise I would just avoid it altogether.
