The elections are right around the corner. I know quite a few people who like to get into Facebook arguments (I don’t have FB by the way) or generally debate with people over hot topics, one of those being simply “asking the rich to pay a bit more” to help balance our budget. For your consideration I present a good video on what taxing the rich will do for us…if anything at all. I also find it ironic that politicians give stump speeches about those nasty rich people and how they are going to help the middle class, yet the median net worth of the average rep in Congress is between $800k – $900k, with most having assets totaling in the millions of dollars. I guess they want to tax themselves as well? But I digress….
The budget deficit is so large that there simply aren’t enough rich people to tax to raise enough to balance the budget.
