Prep Updates 02/18/13

This past weekend I received a message from a reader regarding the Prophecy of the Popes, something which I had never heard of.  I started doing a bit of online research and what I found was quite interesting.  Whether you choose to believe it or not, the way things are starting line up in accordance with the prophecy does seem a little creepy.  Then again there were quite a few people out there who bought into the Mayan Prophecy, which we all know failed to materialize.  Either way check out this vid for a nice breakdown on the Prophecy of the Popes.

Current events and opinion:

Jim Rogers to Moneynews: ‘We Should Be Terrified’ Because Fed Tactics ‘Going to End Badly’
PJ:  Of course it will end badly, there simply is no other way for it to end.  Putting a timeline on things is tough, but I would say things will go south (quickly) within the next few years (as opposed to next decade or two).  The cracks are continuing to multiply and there is no way to patch them up.

How many asteroids in near-Earth space today?
PJ:  Another sign of our human frailty.  What were we going to do if the “near miss” was actually going to be a direct hit?  I believe there is nothing we could do, except try to evacuate the impact zone and hope for the best.  There is no shooting it out of the sky or deflecting it onto another tangent and is the movies.  Sometimes there are problems which are too big to solve, this is one of them.

All Hope And Change Roads Lead To Greece
PJ:  I posted this video of people fighting over food in Greece, consider the same reaction to a very real possibility within our own borders.  If the power goes out, if the free money stops flowing, if those who live day to day stop getting their handouts…lookout.

When the Power Goes Out: “It’s Like a Bunch of Savages”
PJ:  Reactions from the Cruise ship disaster.  The people who willingly spend a few thousand dollars to fly to a port and then take a cruise are probably your average middle class citizens, “normal” people just like you and I. Yet when the S hits the fan they quickly got selfish and turned into savages.  It happens very quickly and yet these lesson’s learned will be shrugged off by most in society, this type of thing could never happen on a large scale right???

Florida hit by “tsunami” of tax identity fraud
PJ:  I still haven’t filed my taxes, although I’m fearful that when I do I will receive an email stating that my return was already processed.  The newest wave of identity theft has arrived and there is almost nothing the IRS can do about it.

Missouri Democrats propose forcing some gun owners to destroy, surrender weapons
PJ:  I posted about this in an earlier article.  It amazes me that somehow these people (those who would propose something like this) actually got elected.  I do like the response from one other State Rep:  “The only way this bill will pass is if a hammer and sickle is sewn onto Old Glory,” tweeted state Rep. Caleb Jones, a Republican.
