Decision Making Flowchart for buying Prep Items

With respect to purchasing prepper items and the decision making process that accompanies it, I came up with this flow chart which you can print off and hang next to your desk.  While the flow chart applies specifically to men I’m sure women will appreciate it as well.  I thought to substitute this chart for an article today, hopefully it helps someone out soon.  Happy prepping!

Very interesting, the male mentality that is. I will confess that I found this a bit entertaining. My husband has pulled these tricks on me before (so he thinks). I think for prepping to be done correctly as a family unit the other members of the family do need to be aware of the essentials but not every little thing. I know that for some it can be a bit overwhelming (such as children) and others need to feel included in every decision making for any purchase. It all comes down to that particular family structure. However two heads are better than one and sometimes women can think of different things that men don’t think about such as hygiene products. On the other hand my husband has made a few purchases such as a wheat grinder that I could have cared less if he snuck it in or not. I would have rather he did since I don’t see the point in it but it matters to him so I try to be supportive 🙂

I agree that each family should decide on what plan suits them best. You are right that men quite often only focus on items like food, guns and ammo. Women are definitely instrumental in bringing another perspective to the table.

In some families the woman is the prepper and the man thinks she’s crazy. Thankfully in our family the man is getting a clue since he sees what’s coming down the pike.

I’m sure it goes both ways. I hope you can appreciate the humor in the chart though! I think I’ll do another chart about how women decided to buy prepping items. I’ll consult my wife first, but I’m thinking it will start out like….

1- Decide to buy Prep item
2- Is the item cute? yes or no
