9 Meals Away From Anarchy

How much food do you have in your home right now?  If you are like most people (and I hope that you aren’t) you probably have enough to last a couple days or more.  This combined with the fact that our stores use a just in time delivery system mean that any interruption to the supply chain could have catastrophic consequences. If store shelves remain barren for 3 days or more you will start to see people act very differently.  The need for food will overcome almost every other desire and people will start to do whatever it takes to feed themselves and their families.  Don’t let yourself be caught off guard, the time to prepare is now.

Good article. I don’t think people realize just how critical this actually is. Maybe some folks in areas prone to natural disaster might have a little more. The vast majority of people in our society are asleep when it comes to food supplies.

Agreed, and this is evidenced by the fact any time a winter storm or power outage occurs the lines at the local supermarket and gas station are absolutely packed with people buying supplies. Some people literally live day to day, completely dependent on the supply chain we have grown so accustomed to. If they had to stay at home for even 1 week with no resupply they would probably resort to eating pet food (assuming they had a pet). That or they would be one of the sad people in the long lines at the grocery store fighting over the last bag of corn meal or can of SPAM, trying to pay with a credit card even though the system would probably be down. I can hear them now: “But I can’t get money out of the ATM, it’s empty! I’m telling you I’m a (insert job) and I have thousands in my bank account, you have to believe me!”

As a prepper I try and urge people to open there eye. People laugh at me when I tell them to really watch what’s going on and do something. But I would hope anyone who sees or reads this article would soon realized it is no laughing matter. Damn good article thank you so much .
